My wife Bec and I spent our belated honeymoon at Wyndham Resort Denarau Island, Fiji, some years ago and have returned since with our eldest son Christian as we just couldn’t deny him the unique Fijian experience we had. Well, we haven’t stopped raving about this beautiful place and this year, after saving up our Vacation Credits, we were able to shout our entire family (including our newborn son, Angus) on a wonderful overseas holiday!
We experienced our first ‘Grab It!’ deal this week – a mini vacation to Ramada Phillip Island (VIC) and had a fabulous time away. I had read mixed reviews about this resort so we lowered our expectations and chose to focus on things we can experience in and around Phillip Island. We should not have been concerned when it came to the standard of the accommodation – I am pleased to report that my husband and I were more than pleasantly surprised at the quality, cleanliness and decor of our 2-bedroom cottage.
Our family have just returned from spending a week staying at the Ramada Port Douglas (QLD) resort, over the Easter break.
We have been WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Owners since 2011 and since joining have stayed at several different resort: Wyndham Seven Mile Beach in Hobart (TAS), Wyndham Resort & Spa Dunsborough in Margaret River (WA), Wyndham Coffs Harbor – Treetops (NSW), Wyndham Kirra Beach in Coolangatta (QLD), WorldMark Resort Ballarat (VIC), Ramada Phillip Island (VIC), Wyndham Torquay (VIC), and Wyndham Resort Denarau Island in Fiji.
Before we had children, my husband and I travelled quite a bit around the world (Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, North America). New Zealand was always on our bucket list, however because it was just “next door” we thought it was something we could always do later in life.
We finally went in January 2015 with our 7 and 10 year old children, and wondered what took us so long!! The scenery is spectacular and compares to the Rocky Mountains in Canada.
We spent 6 days in Wyndham Wanaka resort. Being only one hour drive from Queenstown meant we could easily go there on day trips, and the drive is so impressive that it is not a punishment to drive up a few times. There was heaps to do around Wanaka as well. The kids loved Puzzling World and the National Transport & Toy Museum. Continue reading
Being a single mum with 4 kids, holidays were something I only ever dreamed about. With one child in a wheelchair, finding somewhere that will accommodate us is even more difficult.
Recently my children and I had the pleasure of spending some time in Ramada Shoal Bay (NSW). The staff were amazing, the pool was perfect and catered for all my kids AND we got to see baby whales outside our window!
As a designer, my wife and I were fortunate enough to have been given an opportunity to visit the DesignEx show held at Glebe Island in Sydney. It was even more fortunate when we were able to get 3 nights at Wyndham Sydney apartments, which also coincided with the Vivid Light Show. Amazingly, my Virgin Velocity Points also got us Business Class return airfares from Brisbane.
