Owner Pic of the Week: Feeding Dolphins in Perth!

Dolphins at Monkey Mia, Perth - WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham

One of the highlights of my trip to Wyndham Outram Perth (WA) was feeding the dolphins at Monkey Mia.

The coast north of Perth is beautiful with many towns and hamlets to visit.

I can’t wait to return.

An Eerie ‘Outer Space Landscape’ North of Perth, WA

The ‘outer space landscape’ of the Pinnacles, WA

We have been Owners since September 2011. Over the last two years, we have enjoyed our stays at Port Douglas, San Francisco and Seven Mile Beach - home away from home, with friendly staff, great food and wonderful sightseeing.

However, it is our most recent trip to Western Australia last Christmas that has inspired me to share one of the unique tourist attractions of Australia – the amazing Pinnacles Desert at the Nambung National Park. Continue reading

Perth: “The Perfect Place to Catch Up”

Kings Park, Perth | WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham

Afternoon tea at Kings Park with an 84 year old friend

Before leaving Fremantle on a cruise round the north of Australia in June, we found the Wyndham Outram Perth the perfect place to stay to catch up with old friends from our time in Perth over thirty years ago.

We flew in on Sunday night, I lost my wallet at the airport then recovered it an hour later after a taxi driver handed it in.

On the way to the Outram, we shared in a dinner following a first communion, then were dropped at the hotel into which we quickly settled, finding the facilities even better than we had been led to believe from the description provided. Continue reading

Owner Pic of the Week: “My 50th Birthday!”

Ningaloo Reef | WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham

Swimming with whale sharks at Ningaloo Reef, WA (click to enlarge)

Alan and I recently stayed at the lovely boutique style Wyndham Outram Perth (WA).

What a lovely city Perth is, also a little win at the casino put a smile on my face.

We then traveled up north to Exmouth / Coral Bay to swim with the whale sharks in Ningaloo Reef, an outstanding experience to help celebrate my 50th birthday.

Stretching our holiday dollar further

Wyndham Surfers Paradise - Enjoying facilities near pool and BBQ

After joining WorldMark in 2007 and accumulating points, a girlfriend and I had a wonderful week in W.A. in 2009.

After a late evening flight we arrived in Perth to Outram and the biggest 2 bedroom apartment to relax in and enjoy for the next 3 nights. We felt  very decadent with a huge bed and our own bathroom. The circle bus stop was right at our door and we had a lovely time walking and exploring by getting on and off buses. There was also some great shopping in streets nearby the resort. No kids at home – grandkids at school – nothing to stop us

Peter was scheduled for prostate surgery in three weeks and had 15 years accumulated sick leave available. At short notice we needed to do something to take his mind off the coming surgery – he is such a wimp! What was available at WorldMark? WorldMark had an Owners’ Information Night at Coorparoo RSL in two nights and we thought that could help us make a few decisions.

Problem solved – if you have ever been to one of those, you know how helpful those Information sessions are. We could split 10 days between Perth and Dunsborough – available early next week! No kids at home – grandkids at school – no babysitting duties – nothing to stop us. Continue reading

The world with Wyndham is certainly our oyster

This photo was taken at our most favourite spot along the South West Coastline at Cape Freycinet. An absolutely majestic experience.

As a single mum with a 15year old daughter holidays are definitely something we both look forward to and enjoy at least once every year.  I believe it’s so important to take a break and let loose and what better way to do that than with your children before they grow up and leave home and holidaying with them becomes just a memory.
